A skier descends a narrow, steep snow-filled couloir between rocky walls, with a deep blue fjord and towering, snow-covered peaks spreading out in the background under clear, bright light.

Who's this trip for?

For ski tourers and splitboarders who travel comfortably in Arctic conditions and move well in varied snow. You can handle long ascents and full days outside, choosing lines that match weather and terrain rather than groomed routes. This is our advanced level and calls for avalanche awareness, basic rope work and secure movement on steeper ground. You bring competence and motivation. We bring certified guidance, safety support and access to remote fjords and untouched peaks in Finnmark.

A group of four skiers skins uphill in a line across a wide, snow‑covered slope under a bright blue sky, with rugged, sunlit mountain peaks rising in the background.

What will your days look like?

You move between fjords and high Arctic peaks, touring from boat to mountain each day. Routes shift with conditions and may span gentle bowls, glacier lines or steep couloirs, always chosen to match the group and the snowpack. Expect several hours outside with steady climbing and sea‑to‑summit views, returning each evening to the boat for warmth and calm. Snow, wind and visibility guide the plan, and each fjord offers new terrain to explore.

One person relaxes near the mast while the other looks ahead through binoculars. Ropes, gear, and equipment are scattered across the deck under a clear blue sky.Ge feedback om BizChat

How’s life on board?

Life on board is calm, simple and shaped by the rhythm of the fjords. You wake on the water, move toward new peaks and return each evening to warmth, meals and the quiet of the Arctic. The first week runs on Valiente, a steel expedition vessel built for tough northern conditions and offering steady comfort between fjords. The second week is on SkyDancer, a 73‑foot schooner crewed by seasoned ski‑and‑sail pioneers, designed for long journeys through remote Arctic waters. Both boats serve as moving basecamps, carrying you to terrain only a sailboat can reach.

A skier makes fresh tracks down a wide, steep snow slope above a calm fjord, with dramatic, rugged mountains rising on the far side of the water under soft, overcast light.

What are the conditions like?

Finnmark is shaped by fast coastal weather, with shifting systems that influence route choice from one fjord to the next. Expect a mix of snowfall, clearer windows and steady winds, with the sea never far from view. Terrain ranges from mellow slopes to steep couloirs, all carved by ice and exposed to Arctic light. Conditions change quickly, but that is the essence of this region: wild snow, open space and new lines shaped by the sea

A skier in bright blue gear pauses on a sunlit snow slope, holding ski poles while another skier ascends behind them. Rolling white terrain and a high, rugged mountain rise under a clear blue sky.
