Retail Operations Manager

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Retail Operations Manager to lead the launch of our European retail operations.

This role includes overall responsibility from concept development, opening assessment, launch and dayto-day operations for our physical retail stores in Europe.  

This role will have operational, P&L and business targets responsibility. The successful candidate will have the right combination of attention to details and entrepreneurial mindset, as well as documented hands-on experience in driving physical projects. 

The position is based in Stockholm and reports directly to the CEO.

What you’ll do:

  1. Overall responsibility for store openings, including:
    • Setting objectives and requirements for store in context of overall retail strategy and in alignment with set brand concept
    • Assessing viability of new store openings based on business and brand KPIs
    • Comprehensively project managing the different external and internal stakeholders
    • Setup on new processes, assets and guidelines to allow successful running operations
    • Securing delivery schedule and right target stock in store
    • Coordinating store opening event with marketing and sales team

  2. Overall responsibility for the operations of the stores, including:
    • Management:
      • Set the blueprint for retail operations processes at Klättermusen
      • Manage, incentivise, and develop the store team, including setting P&L targets and KPI's
      • Ensure store team provides the highest level of customer service with in-depth knowledge of the brand, relevant initiatives, and products
      • Inventory and assortment planning, including forecasting and E-com strategy alignment
      • Coordinate with seasonal content plans from Marketing and E-com channel
      • Ensure best coordination with after-sales service teams
      • Continued development in alignment with internal stakeholders of retail concept and offering

    • Operations:
      • Day-to-day operations including stock accuracy, cashier management, inbound deliveries handling, and after-sales support
      • Implement and maintain all branding and merchandising directives and ensure execution of all visual merchandising and branding collaterals are aligned with Klättermusen standards
      • Be responsible for purchasing of seasonal collection assortment and buying strategies for each store respective of localization
      • Recommend events and incentives that grows customer base, with emphasis on building local and high potential clients
      • Drive omnichannel projects and their adoption within Retail and E-Com teams to ensure customer convenience

    • Performance:
      • Accountable for operational profitability, assessing monthly budgets, ensuring margin and profitability focus for each store location
      • Help set business KPIs for each location as well as tactics to achieve these
      • Conduct weekly, monthly and seasonal analysis and reporting for each location’s performance, operational compliance and inventory controls
      • Serve as strong brand ambassador and mentor to all retail functions, working with a high degree of integrity and detail

What you have:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience from retail operations within the apparel industry
  • Expertise working in an omnichannel distribution strategy and unified commerce solutions
  • Proven track record of implementing operational processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Great communication and engagement skills
  • Higher level of education from financial or retail management
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in similar roles
  • Methodical, analytic, and engaging
  • Good knowledge within MS Excel and ERP system a must
  • Fluent in business-level spoken and written communication English and Swedish a must

Klättermusen is now seeking to hire a creative and passionate Senior Art Director to join our Brand and Marketing team in Stockholm, reporting directly to Global Head of Marketing.

In this role, you will formulate concepts, execute, and design against them for integrated campaigns across channels.

To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to carry on the creative vision of our brand. We believe this requires that you have a passion for visualization and art, and the ability to inspire, motivate and communicate creative decisions.

You are organized, able to work across departments and channels. Manage multiple timelines and projects at the same time and knows when to pish to make things happen, but also when to let things go.


  • 5+ years of experience related to Art direction,
  • Possess not just exceptional art direction skills, but the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking as well.
  • Leads by example to inspire colleagues to originate pioneering ideas that deliver successful solutions.
  • Experience in Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop. Merit Aftereffects, XD, Sketch, Figma.
  • A strong portfolio which demonstrates a broad skill set and ability to work across channels and formats. (Web/ mobile, print, video etc.)
  • Have the ability to workshop and collaborate on briefs and tasks across departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

The role includes:

  • Being responsible for merging brand aspirations and commercial ambitions.
  • Translate brand requirements to best practices in each channel, including paid and social media, newsletters, retailer activations.
  • Securing brand consistency in all assets produced.
  • Help define and steer how Klättermusen adapts to the ever-changing modern digital landscape to meet our target audience where they are and create meaningful engagement with our brand.
  • Leading, producing, and overlooking all content and assets created for our social media channels, website, retail partners, tradeshows, advertising etc.
