About the position

As Deputy Store Manager, you’ll be playing a major role in
Klättermusen’s entry into the UK market by supporting the launch of its King’s Road store. 
 


You may be the Deputy Store Manager, but you’ll be helping to build far more than a store. Klättermusen is about a lifestyle, and you’ll be as passionate about the outdoors as you are experienced in retail.
 Working with the Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for engaging with the outdoor community, building excitement for and engagement with the brand and its mission through events and promotions. You’ll find it a rewarding experience. Klättermusen is an organisation that trusts and values the experience of its people, but you’ll also feel supported as you work to bring the brand to a much wider UK audience.  

 

As Klättermusen Deputy Store Manager, you will: 

  • Have strong experience in customer service-oriented retail, including in a supervisory or leadership roles 
  • Ensure your team consistently delivers the exceptional standards of customer care for which Klättermusen is known 
  • Motivate your team to look further and reach higher in achieving sales targets 
  • Know your subject matter, with a love of the outdoors matched by a technical understanding of products that enables you to contribute your own sales 
  • Promote the organization locally, building and developing a Klättermusen community through events and promotions 
  • Support the training, development and wellbeing of your team 
  • Have responsibility for your staff and their work environment 

 

You'll need:

  • The ability to solve complex issues with reason 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills to lead your shop floor team 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Outdoor Apparel Designer 


You will be part of the Åre-based design team at Klättermusen. Your main responsibility will be to work with product development from research, concept, technical instructions, factory communication through prototyping, to the final product.

You will be part of the Åre-based design team at Klättermusen. Your main responsibility will be to work with product development from research, concept, technical instructions, factory communication through prototyping, to the final product. You always strive for new innovative solutions for an outdoor life. With a focus on active casual wear, you will work with the team to ensure the core values, quality, fit and execution are maintained to the highest standard.

 

An exciting, challenging job with great variety and development potential. We are looking for someone who is well versed in construction and fit, has a good eye for details and creative solutions, is used to working with functional products and is passionate about design.

 

It is a creative role but also requires a high level of structure and planning to meet timelines and deadlines throughout development. You will have to travel to the factory to optimize production to achieve premium workmanship. Make sure that all instructions supplied are detailed and correct. Ensure your designs are tested with both live and lab tests throughout development by working closely with our test team and lab facility.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of industry experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the conceptualization and design of apparel
  • Experience in user-centered development
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe suite
  • Understanding of patterns including size grading
  • Experience within Microsoft excel
  • Business-level proficiency in written and oral English communication
  • Practical knowledge of a PLM (product lifecycle management) system
  • A humble team player with great communication and organisational skills
