A Ski Touring Adventure

Experience Arctic ski touring in one of Europe’s most remote regions. Guided by IFMGA-certified experts, you will ascend wild peaks, carve untouched slopes, and traverse ridgelines with sweeping fjord views. Stay in a cosy fjordside lodge with all-inclusive local meals and unwind in the sauna each evening. Small groups ensure a personalised adventure in quiet, crowd-free terrain.


Trip Overview


Day 1: Arrive in Alta, the “City of The Northern Lights”
Transfer to Låvan Lodge along the Altafjord, followed by a welcome drink and cosy dinner.


Day 2: Tour the alpine bowl
Warm up with a climb through birch forest to an alpine bowl, exploring varied terrain.


Days 3-6: Classic ski days in legendary Finnmark
Routes are tailored daily to snow, weather, and group energy, from powder-filled glades to ocean-view ridges. Evenings for sauna, meals, and relaxation.


Day 7: Finish strong with one last descent
Enjoy a final memorable run and a farewell dinner at the lodge.


Day 8: Explore Alta before departure
Optional visit to the Alta Museum before transfer to the airport.

Fred is a French IFMGA Mountain Guide with 25 years’ experience leading ski trips and expeditions around the world, with a focus on northern Scandinavia. He has been guiding in Finnmark since 2007 and also pioneered trips in the Swedish mountains. At KMX, Fred designs our journeys and oversees our team of guides.
