Released as the fourth chapter in Klättermusen's Crafted for Life series, the film follows Billy ahead of Sörmlands 100, exploring the people, places, and experiences that shape his life today.
For me it probably starts with stepping away from high-end kitchens after many years and choosing a different direction. Less about prestige and pressure, more about a simpler life, strong community, and spending more time outside, while still holding onto the social side that I always liked from that world.
For years, Billy White worked in professional kitchens where long hours, pressure, and precision shaped everyday life. Eventually, he chose a different direction. Today, Billy is a chef, runner, and community builder based in Sweden, creating experiences that bring people together through trails, shared meals, and time spent outdoors.
While he still considers himself a chef, the focus has shifted from restaurant service to gathering people around a different kind of table. Through campfires, community gatherings, and events like Sörmlands 100, he creates opportunities for people to connect with each other and the landscapes around them.
I still see myself as a chef, but more in the sense of bringing people together, rather than chasing that environment. That same mindset has just shifted into something else, the races, the people around them, and creating something connected to the place that gets people out into it.
The running sits inside that, but it's not really about performance. More about being out in the forest or the mountains, properly in it.
