These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Klättermusen Experiences for trips in Sweden and internationally. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
1) Definitions
– We/us / our: Klättermusen XPS AB (Klättermusen Experiences).
– You / traveller/participant: the person making the booking and/or joining the trip.
– Trip: the experience, expedition, course, or itinerary we sell and operate.
– Departure: the start date of the trip.
2) Booking and contract
2.1 A booking becomes binding when we confirm it in writing and we receive the required deposit.
2.2 The person making the booking confirms that they have authority to accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all participants included in the booking.
2.3 You must provide accurate participant details. You are responsible for any costs caused by incorrect information.
3) Payments (including deposit)
3.1 A 30% deposit is required for each booking. We must receive the deposit to secure your place.
3.2 The remaining balance is due no later than 45 days before departure, unless we state otherwise in writing.
3.3 If you book within 45 days of departure, you must pay 100% of the trip cost by the deadline stated in your booking confirmation.
3.4 If we do not receive payment by the due date, we may treat this as a cancellation by you and apply the cancellation fees in section 5.
4) Changes requested by you
4.1 You must request any changes in writing to info@kmexperiences.com.
4.2 We will try to accommodate changes, but we cannot guarantee availability. You must pay any additional costs charged by suppliers or required for the change.
4.3 If we cannot accommodate your requested change, your request may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and the cancellation policy will apply.
5) Cancellation policy (by you)
5.1 You must cancel in writing to info@kmexperiences.com. We apply fees based on the date we receive your email.
5.2 Cancellation fees (as a percentage of the total trip cost):
– 91 days or more before departure: No charge
– 61–90 days before departure: 25% of trip cost
– 46–60 days before departure: 50% of trip cost
– 45 days or less before departure: 100% of trip cost
5.3 If you cancel and you have not yet paid the full trip price, you must still pay the applicable cancellation fee.
6) Changes or cancellation by us
6.1 Adventure travel depends on conditions. We may change the itinerary, route, schedule, lodging, transport, or activities if required for safety, weather, snowpack/avalanche risk, operational reasons, or decisions by authorities.
6.2 If we cancel a trip before departure, we will refund payments you have made to us for the trip, unless a different solution is required by mandatory law (for example, package travel rules).
6.3 We may set a minimum number of participants. If a trip cannot run due to low participation, we may cancel and refund payments made to us for the trip.
6.4 We are not responsible for costs you incur outside your booking with us (for example, flights booked independently), unless mandatory law states otherwise.
7) Your responsibilities (fitness, behaviour, safety)
7.1 You must be suitably fit and capable for the trip and its activities (including skiing, splitboarding, and/or ski & sail operations).
7.2 You must inform us in advance of relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, or other factors that could affect your participation or safety.
7.3 You must follow the instructions of our guides and staff at all times.
7.4 If your behaviour, condition, or decision-making creates a safety risk for yourself, others, or the group, we may refuse participation or remove you from an activity or the trip. In such cases, no refund applies.
8) Equipment
8.1 You are responsible for bringing and maintaining suitable personal equipment unless we confirm in writing that specific equipment is provided.
8.2 You must use required safety equipment (for example, avalanche safety gear where applicable) and use it correctly.
9) Insurance (mandatory)
9.1 You must hold appropriate travel insurance that covers, at minimum:
– emergency medical treatment,
– mountain/remote-area rescue and evacuation,
– repatriation, and
– the specific activities on your trip (including off-piste/backcountry skiing and any related expedition or sailing elements).
9.2 You must provide proof of insurance if we request it. If you cannot provide proof, we may refuse participation and treat this as a late cancellation under section 5.
10) Risk acceptance
10.1 Our trips take place in dynamic natural environments. Activities such as backcountry skiing and splitboarding involve inherent risks, including serious injury or death.
10.2 By booking and participating, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
11) Third-party suppliers
11.1 We may use third-party suppliers (for example, accommodation providers, transport operators, vessel operators, and other subcontractors). Their terms and operational decisions may apply.
11.2 We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers beyond what mandatory law requires.
12) Travel Guarantee (Sweden)
Where applicable, your booking may be covered by a Swedish travel guarantee (resgaranti) for package travel or linked travel arrangements.

13) Complaints
13.1 If you have a complaint, contact us within 30 days of the incident in writing at info@kmexperiences.com so we can try to resolve it promptly.
14) Governing law and jurisdiction
14.1 Swedish law governs these Terms & Conditions. Any dispute will be handled by Swedish courts unless mandatory consumer rules require otherwise.
15) Personal data
15.1 We process personal data to manage bookings and operate trips. We handle personal data in line with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR).
