"My professional life is based around three areas - the most important is guiding work and instructing new generations of mountain guides."
My name is Peter Jeromel, from Velenje, Slovenia. I am a Certified IFMGA mountain guide, instructor, and current president of Slovenian mountain guides association. I’m also a father, a partner, Climbing coach and road and off-road cyclist.
My professional life is based around three areas - the most important is guiding work and instructing new generations of mountain guides. Secondly, I work as a climbing coach for a local climbing club, where I manage and coach a few groups of kids on different levels. Third and the smallest part of my work is rope access work, which I usually do off season, mostly on shorter one to few day projects.
On my free time my first job is to be best father and partner as I can be, so majority of my time goes to spend with my family. What is left I like to spend with my friends on- and off-road mountain biking, running, climbing just for myself.
"I really like to work with Klättermusen because I see the changes in the products after they have been tested and that our comments have been taken into consideration."
I use Klättermusen products basically every single day. Be it for a casual day at home, a big day in the mountains climbing, skiing, sport climbing as well as training with kids. When I get a product for testing, I’m always very excited to open the box to find the next surprise. I check out all the details about the product, read the description form, compare it to similar older products which I have tested in the past, to see if there have been any changes. Then I put it on and immediately start using it to see how it feels. Usually by this time I get a few first impressions of the product which I write down which helps me give good feedback to the Klättermusen design team.
The following days I plan activities for which the product is intended so I can fully test it out and wash the item a few times to see how the material is behaving. Later I also use the item in different environments and activities to see how they perform in other areas. Writing down full feedback and taking some photos are also a part of my process.

As for favorite equipment - my favorite would be the Ull backpack which I helped design and I think is a great backpack for alpine climbing and skiing in the mountains.
Besides that, The Allgrön 2.0 Jacket is my go-to shell jacket for winter climbing and skiing, Mithril 3.0 Pants for rock climbing in spring and autumn, Eir Rain for summer, Liv Down Sweater for colder weather or chilly evenings and Balderin Wool jacket for winter
Everyday use.
All these products are so great that many times I have a problem to decide which one to use. What really impresses me over and over again, is that I keep discovering small details on products, which really add to versatility and functionality of the product.
