"I think I spent more time up that mountain than I ever did at home."

My name is David Larsson and I am originally from Gällivare in the north of Sweden. Both my parents come from tiny little villages there and they grew up close to nature. They loved the outdoors and took me with them on their activities from a very young age. As I see it, their greatest gift to me was to let me grow up only five minutes from Dundret mountain. I think I spent more time up that mountain than I ever did at home.

As a little kid I started off with cross-country and alpine skiing to later discover snowboarding, which I am still passionate about. In 2010 I discovered that split boarding is a great way to advance deep into the mountains.

"I love the outdoors and I would call myself a seeker who is always looking for a new adventure out there."

I've done quite a lot of fly fishing during summers and I often canoe for weeks in the wilderness. I've spent plenty of nights in tents in both summer and winter. In recent years there has been more trail running, cross-country skiing, snow surfing and surfing in my life, out on Lofoten but also in the tropics. I love the outdoors and I would call myself a seeker who is always looking for a new adventure out there.

I have had many different kinds of jobs. I've worked as a chef, cleared trails and restored cultural sites in the mountains. In the past couple of years I have been working as a location scout for the film industry, which I am well suited to do after many years of studying maps and doing tours. I am also new as a ski patrol and I love being able to help those who get injured.

I am tough when putting Klättermusen apparel and equipment to the test during all seasons, no matter the weather, when working and in my everyday life, on shorter mountain runs and on long and cold winter tours. Design and fabrics fascinate me and I truly believe that the functionality and comfort of my gear are fundamental to having a good time outdoors. It is also very important to me that the clothes I wear are durable and environmentally friendly.

During summer, my favorite shirt is the long-sleeved Eir Rain. It's so comfortable I keep forgetting I even put it on. Combining it with Nal Vest and Vandis Jacket gives you perfect choices for any kind of weather. Atle 2.0 is with me all year around in the northern hemisphere, because it is super lightweight and compresses well in the backpack. Freke 2.0 is like a reliable and lifelong friend, and on most winter days I tend to use Brage 2.0 Jacket and Pants.
