At Klättermusen, we have never been afraid of going our own way and questioning convention. Over the years, our close cooperation with fabric suppliers has given us interesting opportunities to be the first in the market with new technologies and fabrics.
One of our long-time collaborators, Toray, has experimented with bean- based polyamide in recent years and we are the first company to use it in outdoor products.
The bean-based polyamide replaces 60% of the petroleum traditionally used with castor bean oil, a bio-based resource. This lessens the dependence on fossil fuels and creates a more sustainable alternative to traditional polyamide. Soon we hope to be able to create “natural synthetics” by replacing 100% of the petroleum with castor bean oil to create a biodegradable polyamide fabric.Show selected equipment with Bean-Based Polyamide
